Knox Box Information

A Knox Box is a device secured to your home or business that houses keys for Fire Department access only. If you would like to purchase a Knox Box for your home or business, please follow the directions provided on this page.

Required Knox Box Models

Please note that in general, the Concord Fire Department will be requiring Knox Box models from the 3200, 4100, 4400 or Cabinet series. This will depend on the occupancy, number of keys, or other material required in the Knox Box. In some cases, we may allow the smaller residential series if there will be no more than 1-2 keys.

All Knox Boxes will be required to have hinged doors, as we will not allow lift off covers.

Ordering a Knox Box

  • Go to the Knox Box website.
  • Hover over the "Rapid Entry System" menu, and select the "Property Owners" option.
  • Choose the series of Knox Box being purchased from the column labeled "Knox Products".
  • Use the search field with options for Zip Code or Department Name / City; enter Zip Code 01742, then select Search by Zip.
  • From the search results, locate and choose "Concord Fire Department".
  • On the page that loads after you've chosen "Concord Fire Department", click the "Proceed with Pre-Authorization Order" button.
  • Fill out the order and submit it.
The order will be forwarded to Concord Fire Department for approval. As soon as it is approved, Knox Box will process the order.
