Comcast Franchise Renewal Information
What would you like to see Comcast do for YOU in our next franchise license agreement?
As part of Concord’s cable franchise renewal process, and in conjunction with the focus groups mentioned above, we are gathering information about the community's experience with Comcast Communications and Concord’s Minuteman Media Network Public, government, and education community access channels.
Learn more about what's at stake by reviewing the focus group slide presentation.
Let us know what you think about Comcast and Concord’s local community access channels, Minuteman Media Network, and what you would like to see in the future! Your input will provide valuable support for Minuteman Network and will help to ensure that Concord community media and cable services meet local needs and interests for the next 10 years.
All responses are confidential. If you complete the survey with your name and email address by June 9th you'll be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $50 gift card from a local Concord business!
***Please keep in mind that the survey is not a substitute for attendance at a focus group, which will serve a very different purpose from the survey.***

In Person Focus Groups (completed on May 11, 2023)
Every ten years, Concord negotiates a renewal of the cable franchise agreement with its cable television provider, Comcast (Xfinity). The Town, Minuteman Media Network (MMN) (the Town’s TV studio), and the PEG Access Advisory Committee (Committee) hosted three in-person focus groups to gather input about Concord’s community media needs and interests, on May 10 & 11, 2023.
These meetings allow for interested community members to learn about the Comcast franchise renewal. The Committee solicited opinions and ideas about cable TV and community media services that should be available in Concord as part of any new franchise agreement. A Town-wide postcard on these meetings was mailed to every household with registration information.
The focus groups were organized by interest area. Community members attended the focus group that were most convenient or matched their interests.
