[ARCHIVED] Traffic/Construction Advisory: Commonwealth Avenue

Traffic/Construction Advisory: Commonwealth Avenue – October 31, 2023 to November 2, 2023

Please be advised that Bradford Street, Winthrop Street and Commonwealth Avenue between Laws Brook Road and Church Street will be milled and structures raised now starting October 31, 2023 to November 2, 2023 due to weather delays. Bradford Street and Winthrop Street will remain open, with alternating one-way traffic. Commonwealth Ave. will remain open to one-way traffic, and there will be no on-street parking while the detour is operating and a significant reduction in street parking during structure raising. Alternative parking will be in the Municipal portion of the MBTA Parking Lot. Traffic will be detoured through Laws Brook Road, Conant Street, Main Street, and Church Street. For more details on the project see the dedicated project webpage: https://concordma.gov/3132/Commonwealth-Avenue-Improvements-Church

Heavy equipment will be present and operational. Access to all properties will be maintained throughout the construction process, however, please expect minor delays near construction crews performing the work. The reclamation process will create an uneven surface, and pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists should proceed with caution.

For more information, please contact the CPW- Engineering Division 978-318-3210.
