CONCORD/LINCOLN– The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be implementing daily lane closures along Route 126 (Walden Street/Concord Road) between Route 2 and the Lincoln/Wayland Town Line.  The lane closures will be conducted April 29th through May 24th between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to allow crews to conduct pavement resurfacing and related work safely and effectively.

The work will consist of maintenance pavement resurfacing, including utility structure adjustments and pavement marking improvements.  This work is being done under a District Wide Resurfacing contract with D&R General Contracting as the prime contractor.  The estimated value of this work assignment is approximately $1.25M.  This portion of Route 126 is a municipally owned state numbered route, the work is being performed under a Municipal Pavement Improvement Program via agreements between the Town of Concord, Town of Lincoln and MassDOT.

The schedule for this work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.

Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
