Reminder-Beginning in October 2024, the Town will be migrating to an automated curbside collection model and single stream recycling.
**Subscribers must have paid for their October-March subscription in order to receive their toters**
Each subscriber to the program will be issued a 35-gallon green Waste Management toter for solid waste and a 96-gallon green Waste Management toter with a yellow top for recycling. The toters are expected to be delivered during the week of October 14th, and subscribers can start using them during the week of October 21st.
From October 1st through October 18th, please continue to use barrels and bins as you have done. You will not need additional tags on the barrels for disposal.
Subscribers can purchase additional toters through the Town. They can pay online or fill out the application at www.concordma.gov/recycle and bring or mail a check to Concord Public Works.
To manage occasional overflow trash, yellow overflow tags will be able to be purchased for each additional 35-gallon bag. Subscribers can also continue to use two orange disposal tags. If residents have orange tags they do not think they will be able to use, they can turn them in to the Treasurer’s Office through March 31st, 2025.
To dispose of old solid waste or recycling bins-If old plastic trash barrels and recycle bins are still in good condition, we encourage residents to keep them and use them for other needs. If they would like to dispose of them, Concord Public Works will host “Bin Take Back Days” at the Compost Site during operating hours where they will be collected and recycled in the months of October and November. Residents can also mark their empty barrels as "trash" and those will be picked up by WM, the Town’s contractor, curbside the week of October 28th-November 1st.
