Information for Visitors

In addition to the parade, Concord celebrates the weekend with a full schedule of events and activities, including re-enactments at the Minuteman National Park and a Block Party in Concord Center following the parade.  The Visit Concord website has a full schedule, maps and information to keep you celebrating all weekend.

Information for Parade Units

The Concord Patriots’ Day Parade is one of the nation’s oldest celebrations of the first shot of the American Revolution, attracting visitors from around the world.

Detailed parade information will be sent in early April to selected parade units.  Although we encourage any interested unit to apply, not all units will be accepted to march, pending their relevance to the parade concept and/or the nature and number of similar units also applying.

Participating units are expected to adhere to all Public Ceremonies and Celebrations Committee directives. Please note that units may carry only one identifying banner or flag. Motorized vehicles are permitted only with prior approval and sufficient advance notice; the Committee reserves full authority to approve or deny vehicle participation. Advocacy materials including placards, balloons, handouts, and noisemakers, are not permitted. Political signs, clothing, banners, or any materials that do not represent neutrality are strictly prohibited.

We welcome any questions or concerns as we prepare for Patriots’ Day. Our Committee is enthusiastic and committed to creating a meaningful and enjoyable parade experience for all. ConcordPCCC@gmail.com
