History

For some, beginning in 1775 and continuing today, responding to the challenge of citizenship has also meant a period of service in the Armed Forces. More than 1,400 men and women from Concord went to fight in WWII and about three hundred each to Korea and to Vietnam. Today, almost 1,000 Veterans live in Concord. Memorial Day is day for reflection and a time to honor and commemorate those service members who did not make it home, those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives in our nation's defense.

The CPCCC looks forward to your presence at these important events held in honor of those residents of Concord who sacrificed their lives in service to our community and our nation.
