May 14th DropOff Items Collected

A big thanks to everyone for their help with the May 14th DropOff – SwapOff. This was a very successful event, with a total of 917 vehicles attending the DropOff portion of the event alone. Below is a summary of the items collected at the DropOff portion of the event. Thanks very much again for all of your help in making this a successful event!

224 bags of Styrofoam

Five 30 yd roll-off containers of scrap metal

One 30 yd roll-off container of upholstered furniture

One 30 yd roll-off container of bulky plastic

50% of a 30 yd roll-off container of carpet

Eleven 30 yd roll-off containers of oversize waste and construction & demo materials

2 truckloads of household goods

One truckload of reusable building materials

One truckload of books + CDs, DVDs, and VHS tapes

Nine 96 gallon toters of rags

22 bags of sneakers

One 48’ trailer was filled with electronics in addition to a box truck.

16 refrigerators

29 dehumidifiers

19 air conditioners

80 propane tanks

3 helium tanks

1 box of ink jet cartridges

2 boxes of laser toner cartridges

1/2 box of cell phones

Four 5 gallon buckets of rechargeable batteries

Fifteen boxes of small /compact fluorescent bulbs

Three containers of 4’ fluorescent bulbs

One box of 8’ fluorescent bulbs

1/2 bucket of thermostats / mercury products

Three fire extinguishers

Four 30 gallon boxes of unwanted medicine

One container of controlled substances (Collected by PD)

Four 30 gallon boxes of SHARPS

180 boxes of documents were collected for shredding
