A big thanks to everyone at CPW and all of the volunteers who helped out with the May 5th DropOff-SwapOff. The event was very busy in the morning especially, but ran smoothly thanks to everyone’s efforts. There were 945 vehicles at the DropOff portion of the event alone. Below is a summary of the items collected at the DropOff. Thanks very much again for all of your help in making this a successful event!

  • 219 bags of Styrofoam
  • Five 30 yd roll-off containers of scrap metal
  • One 30 yd roll-off container of upholstered furniture
  • One 30 yd roll-off container of bulky plastic
  • 75% of a 30 yd roll-off container of carpet
  • Ten 30 yd roll-off containers of oversize waste and construction & demo materials
  • Two and a half truckloads of household goods
  • One truckload and one vanload of reusable building materials
  • Eleven containers of rags
  • 208 boxes of paper were collected for off-site shredding
  • 16 bags of sneakers
  • One 24’ trailer plus a 48’ trailer was filled with electronics
  • 10 refrigerators
  • 35 dehumidifiers
  • 41 air conditioners
  • 25 microwaves
  • 64 propane tanks
  • 1 box of laser toner cartridges
  • 1 box of inkjet cartridges
  • 30 cell phones
  • 31 mattresses
  • Two 5 gallon buckets of rechargeable batteries
  • Nine boxes of compact and 2’ fluorescent bulbs 
  • Three containers of 4’ fluorescent bulbs  
  • One box of 8’ fluorescent bulbs
  • 3/4 bucket of thermostats / mercury products
  • Four 30 gallon boxes of unwanted medicine
  • Three 30 gallon boxes of SHARPS
  • 56 bikes
  • 1 truckload of books, DVDs & CDs (4,300 lbs)
  • 10 toilets
  • 4 sinks
  • 19 fire extinguishers
