A big thank you to all the volunteers, Concord Public Works (CPW) team, and others who helped out with the October 13th DropOff - SwapOff! This was a very successful event, with a total of 852 vehicles attending the DropOff portion of the event alone.
Summary of the Items Collected at the DropOff Portion of the Event
- 1 ½ buckets of rechargeable batteries
- 1 1/2 bags of towels
- 1 30 yard roll-off container of carpeting
- 1 30 yard roll-off container of upholstered furniture
- 1 box laser jet printer cartridges
- 1 box of 8 foot fluorescent bulbs
- 1 box of crayons
- 1 bucket of smoke detectors
- 1 container of controlled substances
- 1 truckload of books, CDs, VHS, DVDs, Cassettes
- 1 truckload of children's items
- 1 truckload of reusable building materials
- 1/2 bucket of mercury thermostats and thermometers
- 1/3 box of ink jet printer cartridges
- 12 toilets
- 120 boxes of paper were collected for off-site shredding
- 14 refrigerators
- 178 bags of Styrofoam
- 2 buckets of lead acid batteries
- 2 truckloads of household goods
- 20 mattresses (in addition to mattresses collected by HGRM)
- 21 microwaves
- 26 bags of sneakers for Goodwill
- 3 fire extinguishers
- 4 boxes of 4 foot fluorescent bulbs
- 4 boxes of Sharps
- 4 containers of 4 foot fluorescent bulbs
